Dream Beach Nusa Lembongan

Gambar
Dream Beach is a wonderful secluded beach with powdery, white sand, located on the south coast is one of the most beautiful in Bali. From the main accommodation areas on the west coast, head southeast towards Lembongan Village where you should turn west, and then look for the signposted small track leading south to Dream Beach. There is a cafe attached to the single resort here, and this makes Dream Beach a great place to spend the whole day doing nothing. Be very careful though about entering the water here as the rips can be fierce. Only the strongest swimmers should consider this and even then, avoid the eastern end of the beach. The cliff at the right side of the beach has some beautiful views, especially at sunset.  Fast becoming one of Bali's most popular attractions this island paradise is a world away from the polution, hassles and hectic pace of Bali. There are no hawkers, no traffic, and magnificent scenery and is the perfect place to put your feet u...

Magnificent! Surfing at Nusa Lembongan

Gambar
Nusa Lembongan is the ideal place to learn to surf or get a few lessons to re-ignite your surfing confidence. The sleepy little island of Nusa Lembongan is home to some world-class waves, though it’s a bit harder to get to and is more fickle than most Bali waves. The waves are only really any good when it’s medium to high tide. With the tide lowering, the surf breaks around Nusa Lembongan become shallow and treacherous. Be very careful when surfing here! It’s odd to say, but when it’s crowded, go surf. If not many people are out, most likely they’re tourists getting scraped up on the reef. A right hand break for the more experienced surfer. The main take off point is a peak that jacks up in one section with great tubing sections and fast walls to race through. There is also another take-off point further in that is a fun walling wave with also plenty of power. Be aware, on 2m+ swell this spot can produce some sneaky bomb sets. A boat ride is required to get to Shipwrecks a...

Find the Mola Mola!

Gambar
Would you like to scuba dive with Mola Mola in Bali? The Mola Mola is one of the most interesting creatures that divers will ever get the chance to encounter. And while these fish are found in various dive sites around the world, one of the most beautiful places to see them is Bali, where clear water awaits you that is filled with coral reef systems that are some of the best in the world. Scuba diving in Bali will give you the opportunity to encounter many species of marine life, including the elusive Mola Mola. What is Mola Mola? The Mola Mola is also frequently referred to as the Ocean Sunfish. It was given this nickname because of the animal's habit to spend quite a bit of time at the surface of the ocean, catching some of the warm rays from the sun, much like a beach goer spends time lying on the sand to get a tan. Because of the animal's flattened body, you may have heard it called by various other nicknames as well. But even though people may refer to ...

Where is Nusa Lembongan?

Gambar
Nusa Lembongan is a small island off the southeast coast of the main island of Bali. Quickly becoming one of Bali's most popular attractions, this island paradise is a world away from the hassle and hectic pace of South Bali. Neither hawkers nor traffic mar the magnificent scenery; this is a fine place to just put your feet up and relax. Main activities include surfing, diving and snorkeling. The water is some of the clearest you will find anywhere, and a vivid aqua blue in colour. Nusa Lembongan is approximately 8km² in size and is one of three neighbouring islands, the others being much larger Nusa Penida and tiny Nusa Ceningan (also covered by this article). The three islands are separated from Bali by the Badung Strait. Some visitors may find Nusa Lembongan a little slow after the pace of South Bali. Many areas around the island are good for diving and snorkeling, with abundant marine life and healthy coral. Surfing can get a bit crowded, but the waves are g...
